Highly Praised Pianist

Having studied with noted Brazilian pianist Flavio Varani as a student at Oakland University, Paul Abdullah is excited to be performing with Brazil and Beyond in its classical mode. In addition to graduating Magna cum Laude with a Bachelor's of Music in Piano Performance, he was the recipient of awards for outstanding student in piano performance and outstanding student in chamber music.

As an accompanist, Paul has appeared in many recitals at Oakland University as well as working with some of the best ensembles, including Musical Theater Workshop, Opera Workshop and Symphonic Chorus, which performed the Verdi Requiem at Orchestra Hall. He has worked as a pianist and occasional music director with many area theaters such as Meadowbrook Theater, Stagecrafters, Starlight Theater, On Our Own Productions and Clarkston Village Players.

When not performing with Brazil and Beyond, Paul divides his time between teaching a large studio of piano students at Evola music in Shelby Township, and his various accompanying positions at Oakland University and Troy First United Methodist Church.
